Sweet Grass is an incredible fragrance that takes you from a high note of aromatic rosemary almost immediately into the warm, sweet, earthy scent of mowed hay and is reminiscent of the end of summers past growing up in rural Alberta. It is a subtle scent which is as much at home paired with that little black dress as it is with a favourite pair of blue jeans.
It very much delivers on smelling like late summer. It’s quite lovely. My only criticism is that I wish the tobacco and sweet grass notes lasted longer, and that the powdery note was a little more in the background as opposed to being the base note. I’m curious to see if this will change when the weather warms back up. Regardless, this perfume is quite good. As a matter of fact, I usually hate hate HATE powdery notes, but this brand is so good that for the first time ever I actually kind of appreciate it (did I mention that I normally despise powdery notes? Lol.) My signature scent is still going to be Gilded, but I’m happy to have Sweet Grass in my collection.
This sent is warm and fresh like a lazy summer sun that is somehow, by wizardry no doubt, concentrated into a bottle. It is natural and delicate, blending seamlessly into the skin.
I recommend it to those who are sensitive to intense scents.
I grew up on a grain farm and this scent takes me back to the sunny summer days there. The rosemary and hay notes aren’t overpowering and leave a sweet earthiness behind. A great spring and summer scent
Every Libertine scent is a trip, so well blended and unique. Sweet grass is a journey though, it's one of my favorite perfumes. At the beginning it smells spicy and sweet and it then settles into a sweet, cozy dry herb scent on my skin. It perfectly evokes the end of summer, when nature is at the peak of its glory. I don't think it leans masculine, but it's not overly feminine either. Just the ideal balance between the two. Please never stop making this, thank you.
